Free with any Shopify plan and the official successor to QuickBooks POS; also a web shop's point of sale with the ERP bolted on. What that means for a store on NetSuite or QuickBooks Online.

Does Shopify POS integrate with NetSuite?

Only through a connector. Celigo's costs $750 to $2,150 a month plus $10,000 to $30,000 to set up and takes 12 to 24 weeks; Oracle NetSuite's own Shopify connector, a SuiteApp, is $200 to $917 a month. Guides and reviewers report orders arriving 15 to 20 minutes late, inventory that drifts, and every POS location mapped to a NetSuite location by hand; a SuiteCommerce agency founder told us "almost every Shopify POS implementation dealing with NetSuite has a sales tax issue". usellit needs none of it: the app is the connector.

And QuickBooks Online?

Intuit's own connector exists, with a migration path for stores leaving QuickBooks POS, retired in October 2023. Its reviewers report that the newer version dropped inventory sync, loses refunds ("refunds showing in Shopify but not in QuickBooks") and needs products re-matched by hand. usellit posts to QuickBooks Online directly, refunds included.

What can Shopify POS do offline?

Sell. It cannot refund, update inventory, create a customer or redeem a gift card offline; offline card payments are off by default and, when on, the merchant carries the fraud risk. An apparel brand told us plainly: "we can't take any payments offline". usellit sells and takes cards offline, then posts when it can.

What does it really cost?

POS Lite is free with any plan from $39 a month; POS Pro is $89 per location per month and is needed for staff roles, advanced inventory and real reporting. Card readers work only with Shopify Payments; any other processor pays 0.2% to 2% on every sale. Add the NetSuite connector and its consultant, and a two-store NetSuite retailer pays four figures a month for what looked free.

Is it built for specialty retail?

Partly. Variants rose to 2,048 per product in October 2025; there is no quantity pricing or price levels, and selling to an account customer at the counter needs a paid app. Shopify's AI (Sidekick, Magic) lives in the admin, not at the register. usellit carries the ERP's price levels, quantity breaks and open invoices to the counter, and puts Spark AI there.

Where Shopify POS is strong

If the online store is Shopify, nothing syncs the two as well, and reviewers praise an interface "most employees are comfortable using very quickly": 4.6 on Capterra, 4.5 on the App Store. The case against it is the ERP, not the register.

Questions people ask

Does Shopify POS connect to NetSuite?

Through a connector: Celigo ($750 to $2,150 a month plus setup) or Oracle NetSuite's own Shopify connector ($200 to $917 a month). Orders typically arrive in NetSuite minutes later.

Is Shopify POS free?

POS Lite is included with any Shopify plan. POS Pro, needed for staff roles and real reporting, is $89 per location per month, and sales through a processor other than Shopify Payments carry a 0.6% to 2% surcharge.

Can Shopify POS take payments offline?

Only if offline card payments are switched on in advance, at the merchant's risk. Refunds, inventory updates and new customers wait until the connection returns.

How is usellit different from Shopify POS?

usellit posts to NetSuite or QuickBooks Online directly, with no connector, carries the ERP's price levels and account customers to the counter, keeps selling and taking cards offline, and runs on Square or Stripe without a surcharge.
