Acceptable use policy

A short list of things the service may not be used for. Short because it is meant to be read, not skimmed past.

The rules

You may not use usellit to:

• Break the law, or help anyone else to.
• Process payments for goods or services you are not lawfully entitled to sell.
• Store data you have no right to hold, or that you were told to delete.
• Put special category data - health, biometric, religious or similar - into the system. It is not built for that and does not claim safeguards for it.
• Attempt to reach another tenant's data, or test whether you can, outside the vulnerability reporting process on the security page.
• Probe, scan or load-test the service without written permission.
• Share user accounts. Every person needs their own - it is how the audit trail stays meaningful and how licensing works.
• Resell or white-label the service without an agreement that permits it.
• Interfere with anyone else's use of the service.

Automated access

Use the documented API. Do not scrape the interface, and do not send volumes that degrade the service for others. If you need higher limits, ask.

What happens if you break these

We will normally tell you and give you a chance to put it right. For serious or repeated breaches - anything unlawful, or anything that puts other customers at risk - we may suspend or terminate immediately, as section 13 of the Terms of service allows.
