Same feed as always. Except for the ewes.
A farmer orders her usual goat feed with new ewes in the barn. The yard associate catches the added copper that would poison her sheep, switches the ration, and finds the ton price.
What the film says.
Cody: Morning, June! Twenty of the goat feed?
June: Twenty, same as always. The new ewes are in with the goats now, so they’re all on it.
Cody: Hold on. Goat feed has added copper. Sheep can’t clear it; it builds up in the liver.
June: I didn’t know that.
Cody: Most folks don’t. The sheep-and-goat ration’s the same protein with no added copper, so one feed’s safe for the whole barn. Same price.
June: Then switch me. Twenty.
Cody: Take forty, and it’s the ton price, a dollar less a bag. Twenty in your truck now, twenty with your hay Thursday.
June: Make it a ton.
Cody: And your sheep mineral was February. You’ll be about out.
June: Add one.
Cody: $759.59 on the account. No tax on feed. Sign here.
June: You just saved my ewes, Cody.
Narrator: Spark knows the barn and the bag, so every clerk sells like the old hand.
